Everything runs on your computer. There is no cloud service to activate.

• Audio output capture only

  Terpside opens the loopback of your audio device or of one specific app: only what plays there. The microphone is never opened; there is no setting to open it.

• Complete turns

  A voice detector closes each turn after a pause, then transcription begins. How long it takes to appear depends on your computer and its workload. If the person keeps dictating, the same bubble is extended; turns longer than 15 seconds are split.

• Speaker labels based on language

  Whisper detects each turn’s language: English → provider, Spanish → patient. This is a convention for interpreting over the phone, not voice identification.

• The original in large type, the translation below

  You read what was just said; you are already delivering the translation yourself. You can switch the display in settings if you prefer Spanish always in large type.

• Local translation

  Opus-MT (English ↔ Spanish) on your CPU. Each bubble carries the engine and the time it took to translate that sentence.

• Number and negation warnings

  If the translation changes a figure written in digits or drops a negation word from the original, the bubble is flagged "check both". It is a simple check: it helps, it does not guarantee.

• An interpreting glossary

  Common terms (referral, copay, walker, cast…) and false friends appear as notes beside the bubble, with the suggested standard term.

• Capture audio from one app

  Choose a process (Chrome, Zoom, Teams…) instead of the entire audio output. If the app closes and returns, Terpside reconnects automatically.

• Call history

  Silence between calls creates automatic separators, and you can scroll through the whole conversation. The history is deleted when you close the app.

• Text size and an always-on-top window

  A+ / A− adjusts the text for your second monitor. The window stays on top without taking focus.

• Profiles for your computer

  Light, balanced, or precise, depending on your CPU. The app measures performance, switches to a lighter profile if it falls behind, and switches back when it can.

• Critical Data Guard

  Pro

  Doses, frequencies, vitals, dates, times, amounts, percentages, ages and phone numbers it has just recognized stay pinned for about 30 s in a separate strip (up to eight at a time). It pins what the recognizer understood; it does not validate the audio.
