Support
Does it listen to my microphone?
No. Terpside captures only the audio output you choose (what plays in your headphones). There is no setting to open the microphone.
Does it save the call anywhere?
No. The history lives in the program's memory and is discarded when you close it. The edition that is sold includes no function to export or send text off your computer; an automated test checks in every release that those routes do not exist. On disk there are only your settings, the license and a technical log with no sentences from calls.
Does it need internet access?
No. The models are included in the installation, and the license is checked with a signature inside the app. Starting Terpside does not access the network.
Why does the bubble take a moment to appear?
It waits for the speaker to pause, then transcribes the turn. How long it takes to appear depends on your computer, the model and the workload. If the person keeps dictating, the same bubble is extended.
What happens if my computer struggles to keep up?
Terpside can switch to a lighter profile if it falls behind. Gaps in the history may be caused by CPU or GPU load, audio capture or the computer itself. Check the requirements on the download page and send me the technical log if the problem persists.
How do I activate the license?
After purchase, you receive a key by email. In Terpside, open ⚙ → License, paste the key, and confirm. It is checked immediately, offline. If the key is tied to a computer, that same screen shows the device fingerprint you need to send us.
What is the Free plan and how does it count minutes?
Free is Terpside without Critical Data Guard and with 60 minutes of use a day, counted while capture is on. The bar shows how many are left; when they run out, capture stops and tells you. At midnight it comes back on its own, and with a Pro license it comes back instantly.
What if my subscription expires?
The app shows a warning in the status bar and keeps working without cutting you off during a call. Renew when you can and paste in the new key.
Can I use it with my agency?
Terpside is a visual aid that runs on your computer and does not record or save anything. Still, each agency has its own policy on captioning and note-taking tools during calls. Check it before using any tool, including this one.
Does it work on Mac or Linux?
No. Terpside uses Windows audio capture (WASAPI) and is available only for 64-bit Windows 10/11.
Does it recognize who is speaking?
It does not recognize voices. It uses each turn’s language: English → provider, Spanish → patient. If two people speak the same language, they appear in the same color.
Write to me
I reply myself, usually within one business day. Please do not paste call content here. I do not need it, and it should stay on your computer.
